Conctraction after the insertion of silicone is one of the most serious complications.Contraction happens when there is oversensitiveness or rejection response to silicone infection or when too much surgeryn is performed. When the cause of the complication is silicone then it's better to operate with another material during revision. It's not appropriate to re-insert another silicone after removing the infected one. The skin gets hard and the nose shrinks entirely getting lifted upwards and short.
