Commonly people might think that it's only attaching a piece of cartilage at the tip when one says "autologus cartilage at the tip." However like the picture the tip is augmented after placing the strut attaching it hardly to the tip. Gore-tex is inserted on the bridge but not as far until the tip (white part is the gore). This way the risk of complications is reduced.

흔히 코끝에 자기연골하면 연골한조각 올려놓는 것으로 생각하기 쉽습니다. 하지만 그림처럼 버팀목을 댄후에도 단단하게 연골을 올리거나 붙여서 코끝을 올립니다. 콧등에는 고어를 넣는데 코끝까지 미치지 않게 넣습니다(하얀색이 고어텍스). 이렇게하는 것이 부작용을 줄일 수 있는 방법입니다.
