In case of operation using costal cartilage the glabella gets lower when using an implant because the swollen area smoothes out more.
The first picture is before the surgery; second one is 3 weeks later; and the last one is 6 months later. In case of autologus cartilage at first it might look too high but later on it looks just fine.
