Medical technology becomes a great prospect item of export

Such countries as China and Taiwan the domestic medical hygiene industrial world are an issue since cosmetic surgery as well as medical technology is getting exported as the advances of the Chinese market accelerate.

The medical technology exporting scene actually takes place in a rhinoplasty specialized clinic located in Kangnam Seoul. Actually in Dr. Dong-Hak Jung's Simmian Rhinoplasty Clinic where the traning program is being carried out for foreign surgeons 10 Chinese surgeons are devoted in studying the cosmetic technology.

These surgeons are planning to stay for 4 days until the upcoming 10th being charged of US$ 2000 for training fee to receive a focused course.

This clinic has carried out training programs every month for 10 cosmetic surgeons since 2002 within the country.

Dr.Dong-Hak Jung director of the rhinoplasty clinic said "During the process of exchanging experience cosmetic surgeons in China Taiwan and other countries requested to open a training program for them" and "therefore I turned to the foreign countries and started to manage a training program for them" he explained.

This clinic is planning 4 traning programs this year and prior appliance for the 2nd program in April has been already concluded.

Chinese Japanese Filipinos and such various Asian natives are mainly registered for the training program.

One of the Taiwanese surgeons who is participating in the actual training program said "It was only the United States and European countries where cosmetic surgery courses were open so it was hard to operate because of the difference between the Westerns' and Asians' facial structure" and said the following showing expectation: "however this training program in Korea will help me a lot."

And another participant said "In the past Japan was known to be the country advanced in cosmetic surgery so many Chinese surgeons went there. However now I believe that Korea's cosmetic surgery is advanced."

With the traning program for foreign surgeons and the opening of the English site foreign patients who come for assistance from all around are increasing in this clinic.

Dr.Dong-Hak Jung said "In our country despite the many magnificent surgeons a systematic development in the cosmetic industry and surgery is not getting achieved in general due to the negative view of the cosmetic surgery of the society" and "it is necessary to try to hold the competitiveness of the medical field considering the opening of the medical market."
