In few person nostril either too wide or it is notched so that nostril looks very prominent in nose profile. If there is wide ala base or short nose it is easy to correct but in case of notched nostril it is hard to correct.
Usually we correct notched nostril by using either composite graft taken from ear or by ala rotation flap. This case is corrected by using ala rotation flap and scar will disappear within 3 months.
