From your inquiry I can tell you’ve really been considering rhinoplasty seriously. Hopefully my answer can help you find the right plastic surgeon for you.
1. To raise your nasal bridge yes you need implant or grafts. We use Gore-tex or the patient’s own rib cartilage to augment nasal bridge. We rarely use silicone implant for rhinoplasty.
2. We are particularly specialized in nasal tip surgery and we only use patient’s own cartilage(mainly nasal septum cartilage and sometimes ear cartilage) for the tip surgery. You may decide about the shape through consultation.
3. If you choose to augment your nasal bridge with rib cartilage you should have general anesthesia. But if you choose Gore-Tex we will give local anesthesia with IV anesthesia. You could be worried about G/A but you do not need to worry since that is very safe because our anesthesiologist will keep you during whole OP. time.
4. Usually Somebody who wants to have a surgery in our clinic from abroad comes in our country with two weeks off. I want to recommend at least two weeks off. We surely can make reservation of near hotels for you.
5. About the certification I’m not only the member of the Korean Society of Aesthetic Surgery but I am the chairmen of it. Our country also protects patients by the law.
If some problem occurs after cosmetic surgery you could raise a suit.
6. Yes we perform the surgery in our clinic. And if you used Gore-tex it will cost you USD 3300 and if you choose to use rib cartilage it will cost USD 4500. Patients are required to stay in the clinic until 6 hours to one day past the surgery but after then you can leave and come back for the check up on the following days.
