Inflammation is the most serious complication and occurs in less than 1%. If inflammation occurs, your nose will swell and turn red, this will be associated with pain and there may be some discharge of pus from the nose.

The initial treatment is irrigation (flushing with antibiotic solution), intravenous antibiotic treatment and prescription medicine. In cases where the inflammation cannot be controlled with these measures we should remove the implant to prevent worsening of inflammation. If the implant is removed, we will perform a revision operation after 3-6 months for free.
