We almost always use autologous (patient's own) cartilage for tip work. If enough septal cartilage is available, we do not harvest the ear. We charge based on the complexity of the operation, not the raw material or method used. We do not have a seperate charge for ear cartilage harvest. (see FAQ section on costs).
