Hi,

I'd like to know how much time is needed for the most of the swelling to disappear and scarring to fade greatly because I want to look my best on my wedding day.  Should I get the surgery like 4 months before my wedding date?  I'm concerned because I read somewhere that swelling may take up to a year to completely subside.

If I only want a "medium height" bridge, how many mm would you raise my bridge by?  I think 5 mm may be a bit high for my taste.  Is it possible to have a slight curve from the starting point of the implant so that it doesn't look like a straight line?  Does Goretex slide over time?  What is the infection rate?  Does it usually show up within a month post op if it was to get infected?
