Hi Dr. Jung,
I have a few questions regarding increasing the nasal bridge using goretex.
1) Is silicone the only implant that’s known to cause contraction or deviation? Or can the same thing happen with gore-tex?
2) Is it very difficult to remove gore-tex in case there are complications? Is goretex sheets easier to remove than gore-tex block?
3) Is it true that all artificial implants (silicone or gore-tex) will eventually come out because they poke through the skin, thus, thinning the skin?
4) Is shrinkage of gore-tex is something to consider?
Based on the articles I've read, it seems like rib cartilage rhinoplasty might be the best way to minimize problems down the road.
Thank you!
