Once you have rhinoplasty it should last forever. Donated rib's absorption rate is 10%. Gore-tex also shrinks around 10%. Infection is the worst of all complications and its chance is 1%. It's rare however once it happens in case of gore-tex it should be removed as soon as possible. Usually donate rib or autologous cartilage settles down with treatment.


>Is the result of dorsal and tip augmentation with gore-tex and donated cartilage permenant with low risk of complications: like infection; or absorption of the donated cartilage so tat the augmented tip become reduced? Will the result last for life? Or shall one take out the implant after ten or twenty years and change it?
